TAE KWON DO TENETS
Courtesy & Respect: 예의 (Ye Ui) Tae Kwon Do is a way of life, building on empathy, compassion, inclusion, and kindness for others inside and outside the dojang.
Integrity: 정직과 청렴 (Jung Jik, Chung Ryum) Tae Kwon Do is an art of truth and is more than doing the right thing. It is revealing your own weaknesses, mistakes, vulnerability, and being honest with yourself. It is defending truth and promoting justice--being the light in darkness.
Perseverance: 인내 (In Nae)Tae Kwon Do is an endless pursuit of continuous improvement for your life--never giving up to reach your goals.
Self-Control: 극기 (Guk Gi) Tae Kwon Do is more than a sport and much more than winning. It is choosing love over hate and humility over arrogance. It is controlling yourself in training and in life to make a more peaceful world.
Indomitable Spirit: 백절불굴 ( Baek Jul Bool Gool) Tae Kwon Do is courage in the face of insurmountable challenges and never giving up.

ALWAYS STUDENTS OF TAE KWON DO
We are fortunate to train, study, and attain Tae Kwon Do knowledge under Grandmaster Seoung Eui Shin, who studied under Grandmaster Kang Myung-Kyu.
Our traditional Tae Kwon Do style is influenced by one of the original kwans: Moo Do Kwan. Our belt ranking system and promotions follow the Kukkiwon's International Masters certification process and the World Tae Kwon Do guidelines and the Olympic-style Taekwondo.
We have been teaching, training, and learning for over 15 years with diverse populations and age groups. Our mission is teach and train future martial artists and leaders no matter a person's age, gender, mental or physical abilities, race or national origin, religion, sexual orientation, and/or socio-economic background.

the art & Philosophy of taewkondo
Martial arts training is more than physical self-defense; it is self-defense for your life. It is bringing peace when there is violence.
Poomsae is the highest level of our Taekwondo spirit; we can practice at full power and face our invisible enemy which is ourselves. Poomsae can forever be in our journey as our body ages.
Sparring is not street fighting; it is lifting each other to our best potential, fighting for love and fighting our darkest self.
It is choosing to bow and giving respect to all martial arts. We are always trying to continuously improve and challenge beyond the limits of both our physical, mental, and spiritual limits.
We train our students to become future leaders, masters and grandmasters, and future ambassadors of the world.
Every color in our belt represents a seed that has sprouted and slowly becomes a tree that gives knowledge.
